THE HOSTEL
Barefoot Backpackers Hostel, Hiriketiya Beach is like no other in Hiriketiya. We are a very social hostel that focusses on bringing backpackers together. We are surrounded by lush and serene gardens and have the best sea view you can think of! We are a cozy hostel near Hiriketiya Beach in Sri Lanka (7 min walk)! Whether you're hitting the waves or taking it easy, we've got your back. And just a short stroll away lies Dickwella Beach (4 min walk), where you can soak up the sun and enjoy sunset drinks with friends! Time to get excited!

V) our cancellation policy: 1 day minimum (24 hours) before arrival date (not check-in time)
VI) no open kitchen: at our cozy hostel, our kitchen is like a top-secret club - no peeking allowed! Yep, there is NO open kitchen here, folks. You can order your caffeine shot and brekkie delights straight from our reception
VII) no curtains at the beds: we don’t have curtains at the beds: At our hostel, we've taken the liberty to skip the curtains in favor of fostering a lively social scene. But rest assured, your comfort and enjoyment are still our top priorities
VIII) we are empowering the local community: we love partnering up with our awesome local community! Our team members (10) are all local people from the area. Now, they might not have mingled that much with globetrotters before, that's what makes life interesting, right? So, if you find yourself stranded with a language barrier, they’re not unfriendly, don’t get angry, it’s unfortunately just a language limbo. Let's tackle it together with a big smile and some good vibes. We're all in this adventure called communication

Full Charge - Full Stay - If canceled within 2 days of arrival
Terms and Conditions
- For all bookings, full payment is required at the time of arrival.
- Payment upon arrival by cash only (EUR or LKR).
- Cancellation policy: no charge if notice is given at least 2 days (48 hours) before arrival date (not check-in time). In all other cases, 100% of the booking will be charged as a cancellation fee. This also applies to no-shows.
- Missed check-outs will be charged a penalty fee of the number of nights between the original check-out and the actual check-out.
- Check-in times: between 14:00 PM and 20:00 PM
- Check-out times: before 11:00 AM
- No refunds are given on early departures.
- Credit cards may be charged in accordance with our terms & conditions.
- Smoking is not allowed inside the rooms and dorms. Smoking outside only in designated areas.
- No outside visitors are allowed on the property.
- No drugs are allowed on the property.
- No pets are allowed on the property.
- Age restriction: 18+ (children are not allowed)
- Quiet hours are between 23:00 and 7:00.
- Guests must behave in a reasonable and responsible manner. The property will ask the guest to leave without any refund issued if the guest fails to do so.
- Damages, breakages, and dorms/rooms left in an unreasonable state will be charged accordingly to the guest.
- The property is not responsible for any injuries and accidents caused by the guest.
- The rocks near the ocean are not part of the property and access is restricted for all guests. We do not take any responsibility and we are not liable for any damages, accidents, or injuries.
