It’s a true story from the 1940s. About a young man tired of traipsing the world. So, on a little street, he built a small inn for travelers as world weary as he was. Sailors. Merchants. Drunk singers. No Little India then. No trains. No shopping complexes. Just a little anonymous inn on an anonymous street. But the young man offered the same to anyone who dropped in. A warm handshake. A hot drink. A comfortable bed to sleep in. The inn lived through it all. World War II. Recession. Tough times. Yet, the inn remained standing. And it stood with conviction, as the baton was passed on to the next generation. And because there’s nothing quite like enterprise to stir a Singaporean’s heart, this new generation quickly developed the old hotel into a modern hotel in 1996.
The quiet street it stood on became a bit louder. There’s more restaurants, pubs, and shopping around the area. Times changed. The hotel opened its doors to budget travelers, wandering writers, and busy businessmen. Today, the hotel stands at an important cultural crossroad. With vibrant Little India chocked full of spices and curries behind and an international complex with modern shopping, movies, trains, just in front. Really, times have changed. What has not is the hotel ethos, the art of the serve. The warm welcome. The cosy, clean rooms. The hospitality from 80 years ago.

Guests who did not check in after 10.30pm is automatically considered a No-Show unless prior arrangement and email confirmation by the hotel is made. No-Show means no refund will be entertained.
Check-out Time: 12Noon.
Guest who wish to have a late check out must inform our front desk at least a day in advance and it is subject to availability and our occupancy status.
Late check out fee will apply.
Guests who booked under our normal hotel rate can enjoy a 5 day before arrival cancellation without penalty charge with refund minus an admin fee of $40.
Guests who booked via our Online Travel Partners may enjoy a special 1 day or 2 day cancellation policy depending on the terms specified at the time of booking. Kindly check with our partner for more details.

In Order to make your stay as pleasant as possible, our management respectfully seeks your co-operation to the following rules and regulations. By clicking on the acknowledgement, you have also expressly and explicitly agreed to our conditions stated hereinafter.

Covid-19: Due to the Outbreak of the global pandemic, Tai Hoe Hotel has stepped up numerous measures to look after the safety of our guests. Disinfection Procedures are carried out regularly on the most common areas. Social Distancing measures are being implemented to provide additional layers of safety and peace of mind. In addition, we have also embarked on and will be rolling out Self Check-in/ Check-out / to allow our guests the choice of having a totally contactless, safe and secure way to enjoy our hospitality. Mobile check-in allows guest the flexibility of having their room key send directly to their mobile phone. Guest can use their mobile phone to unlock the door! All these procedures will be rolled out systematically to provide further assurances for our guests and to reinforce our commitment to serving. Reciprocally, we seek your kind understanding and patience as our Front Desk Counter will be closed from 9pm - 9am daily. With that in mind, we know you will be more forgiving if, our response to your requests are a little impaired. But, rest assure that contingent assistance and emergency protocol notices are visibly located throughout the entire hotel.
Lastly, guests can be assured that in our fight against this Pandemic, we have not forgotten nor neglected our primary creed, Service.
Minmum Check-in age: Our hotel mimimum check in age is 21 years old. Kindly ensure you have a valid photo ID with you at time of check in.
Tariff/Room rates: The tariff or room rate is for the room only and is exclusive of any government taxes, meals or other services available in our hotel. Our room tariffs fluctuate daily according to internet demand as well as the occupancy level and our room availability. For more information, kindly consult our front desk staff.
Early check in or late check out: This is strictly subject to availability. Charges apply for both early check in and late check out. Early check in from 7am to 12noon. Late check out from 1pm to 6pm. Check in earlier than the stipulated time will incur an additional day charge. The same apply for late check out after 6pm. Please check with our front desk staff for more details.
Extension of Stay: Should you need to extend your accommodation, you need to inform our friendly front desk staff promptly. Your room could be designated for another guest according to your initial departure on your booking.
Payment for the additional room nights should also be settled.
Any reservation made during our Peak Season is automatically classified as Non-Refundable.
Deposit: The hotel reserves the right to demand deposit from guest. This is over and above the full payment you made regarding your reservation. The deposits can be in the form of cash for the room key deposit which will be returned to you upon your check out and return of the same key to us. Deposits can also be collected for each reservation made. Such deposits will be set at 30% of your total room charges. The deposit will be collected in the form of said amount held on your credit card by way of pre-authorization. The amount will be release immediately upon your check out, barring any deductions for miscellaneous charges or damages to our property or any part of the room or its contents.
Check-In: Check in time is 3pm. Please present your ID card, Passport or temporary Residence card upon check in as stipulated by law, visitors must present personal documents for hotel records These documents will be destroyed according to the Personal Data Protection Act. The minimum age for check in is 21years old.
Departure: Check out time is 12Noon. If you wish to retain your room beyond the check out time, kindly inform our front desk staff. The room will be charged according to the room rate for the day. Such request for extension is subject to availability. Should the guest fail to vacate the room at the check out time, the management shall have the right to remove the guest and his/her belongs.
Automated check in/out: Guests who performed automated check in procedures are to take notice of the following:
- Guest mobile key access will no longer work after 12PM departure date.
- Guest credit card pre-authorization will be released once our Housekeeping department has performed its cleaning and note that everything is in order.
- Should the guest received any additional charges on your credit card, we will email your registered email address with the relevant photos as well as the invoice for the
- Guest can perform express check out simply by informing our friendly staff your intention.
- Guest can perform self-check in so long as the criteria is met.
- Guest mobile door key can also be used to access Tai Hoe Hotel's Main Glass Door after midnight.
Luggage Storage: Subject to availability of the storage space, the guest can store luggage in the luggage room, at the guest's sole risk as to loss or damage from any cause, Luggage may not be stored for a period of over 30 days.
Guest's Belongings: Guests should ensure their room is securely lock at all times. For your convenience, safety lockers are available at our reception upon request. The Management will not in any way whatsoever be responsible for any loss / or damage to the Guest's belongings or any other property from either the hotel room or the locker or any other part of the hotel for any cause including theft.
Pets /Smoking within hotel premises / Food with strong and subjective aroma: We regret to inform that pets are not allowed in the hotel. Other food or fruits like DURIAN are also not allowed in the room. The hotel takes the comfort of all our guests very seriously. If you violate this rule, the hotel will impose a Deodorizing Fee of $250 to be charged immediately without delay.
Hazardous Goods: Bringing goods and/or storing of raw or exposed cinema films, or any other article of a combustible or hazardous nature and/or prohibited goods and/or goods of objectionable nature is prohibited. The Guest shall be solely liable and responsible to the management, its other guests, invitees visitors, agents and servants for all loss financial or otherwise and damage that may be caused by such articles or as a result of the guests' own negligence and non-observance of any instructions. Gambling, contraband, prostitution, weapons, explosives, flammable objects, poisons, drugs, animals and pungent food are strictly prohibited on hotel premises.
Visitors: Other than yourself, and any other registered guest(s) staying in the room, any other person will be termed a visitor. All visitors are not allowed within the room after 10pm. Any guest caught violating the rule with a visitor not registered in our system will automatically be imposed a $60/night Visitor Violation Fee. This is non-negotiable and to prevent any unpleasantness, the management strongly advise guest to abide by our rules.
Damage to Property: The guest will be held responsible for any loss or damage to the hotel property caused. In addition, guests will also be held responsible for their visitors. A list of the items and its price list is available in your room.
Management's Rights: It is agreed that the guest will conduct him/ herself in a respectable manner and will not cause any nuisance within the hotel premise. The Management has the right to request any guest to vacate his/her room or other areas of the hotel forthwith, without previous notice and without assigning any reason whatsoever, and the guest shall be bound to vacate when requested to do so. In case of the default, the Management has the right to remove the Guest luggage and belongings from the room occupied by him/her.
Relation between Management and Guest: Nothing hereinabove shall continue or be deemed to constitute, or create any tenancy or sub-tenancy, or any other right to interact in the hotel premises or any part of portion thereof, in favour of any Guest or resident or visitor, and the Management shall always be deemed to be in full and absolute possession of the whole of the hotel premises.
Government Rules and Regulations: Guest are requested to abide by all applicable acts and laws and Government rules and regulations. Such policies are also amended from time to time without notice.
Photographs and Video's Using photographs and video's taken in the hotel for commercial or public purposes is illegal. Those who do so will be subject to prosecution.
