The labour of love of Cordillera Blanca Lodge began with the aim of making trekking in the Cordillera Blanca more accessible & enjoyable. Founded in 2005, by Brit Charlie Good the lodge is a testament to a man’s love and passion for the mountains in a world of extremes. As a chartered accountant working for a big 4 firm in London, Charlie managed to break away from the rat race to follow his dream. Saving his money for several years, he sold his flat, car and girlfriend and packed his bags for Peru. After searching for a year for the best spot in the Andes, work began in 2005. Having camped for 7 months, forced to endure the elements and deal with the politics of a lively local community, his dream finally started to take form and Llanganuco Mountain Lodge was born.

Property and Cancelation Policies :
a.) Perpetual & Transferible Credit, for the USD$ amount paid less a $50 admin fee, for each time you rebook, will be given for a reservation or part of a reservation cancelled up until 48 hours prior to arrival date, 4pm.b.) Due to uncertainty in tourism since March 2020 we have:- extended credit much closer to arrival benefiting the client, had real drops in prices to encourage tourism, and had to offset these changes to non-refundable pricing to protect the business. As a spate of cancellations almost bankrupt the business in 2020. c.) Written cancellation/modification is required to Charlie Good by Whatsapp message to +51938202221, with your full name, booking number, dates.d.) No credit is due for reservations cancelled within 48hrs of check-in. e.) Credit may not be applied for future stays over bank holidays “feriados” or corresponding dates.f.) Credit does not expire.g.) Credit is transferrable by emailing us with your credit note email and copying in the party that you wish to transfer it to.h.) Your visit can be rearranged a maximum of 2 times, each time incurring a $50 admin fee.i.) The credit is applicable against room fees, not food or other services.j.) Your Credit Note email from us, with the amount of credit, should be kept safe as you should respond to it to make your next booking.k.) We will do everything that we can to be flexible around date changes, even within 48hours of arrival.j.) Rebooking subject to availability. k.) If you wish your reservation to be refundable up to 62 days before arrival then we will be happy to oblige whilst charging you a non refundable 30% premium on your booking, but we´d recommend travel insurance over this.

The lodge is NOT located in the rather ugly city of Huaraz. It is located near the entrance to the Llanganuco gorge, the Huascaran National Park, in the Cordillera Blanca. Here:
IGV tax of 10% is taken on all bookings.
Confirmation of bookings: We ask for a full 100% payment upfront in US dollars for your room fee, this is non refundable under any circumstances.
This is a full board establishment, you agree that you MUST pay $55usd per adult before or upon arrival, the normal rate is $55usd if paying by any digital means. If paying in CASH AT CHECK IN then it is $44usd per adult per day for your food, we are in the mountains, there is nowhere else to eat. This must be paid upon arrival to complete check in. Card rate <12yrs: $41, <9yrs: $28, <6yrs: $14. Cash rate Kids: <12yrs: $33, <9yrs: $22, <6yrs: $11. Cash rate is 20% discount.
Check-in : 16:00 hrs. Check-out: 10:00 hrs. Early check in or late check out possible with no charge ONLY if available. The latest check in time is 20:00 hrs. You are welcome to arrive before check in time to the hotel or depart after check out, but we need to get into the room for cleaning services.
Payments: A bank transfer can be made to our account to BCP Bank (account in USD if you are in Perú).
Internet: We have broadband unlimited internet in the bar, NOT in the rooms
Parking: we have free parking available
Services not used: There will be no refunds for non-used services under any circumstance.
