This property has the following check-in and check-out times and policies.
Property and Cancellation Policies :
Payment and Cancellations: Cancellations of or changes to your reservation must be made in writing (email is acceptable). If you cancel more than 30 days before your scheduled arrival, 100% of the total rental fee will be returned to you. If your cancellation occurs less than 30 days before your arrival, 100% of your rental fee will be retained by Owner. No-shows, late arrivals, decrease in number of persons, or early departure for any reason, including but not limited to inclement weather or illness, are non-refundable. The only exception to this is in the event of border closures due to a pandemic. Owner recommends trip insurance to protect Renter against loss from such events. This contract becomes binding when the rent is paid. Failure to make any rental payment when due will subject your reservation to cancellation.
Terms and Conditions
Electricity – The Owner asks that the Renter be mindful with energy consumption as electricity in The Bahamas is approximately4 times the cost of in The USA or Canada. When leaving the house for the day, please turn off air-conditioning units, or leave them at 78-80 degrees. The units are quite effective and will cool the house rapidly upon your return. The Property is fully furnished, including a complete supply of bed linens and towels. Beach towels are available. Bath towels are not to betaken to the beach or pool. Patio furniture (including cushions or coverings)is not to be taken to the beach. Locked closets and pantries are not included in this rental and you may not and you will cause all your family members, visitors and guests to not open any such locked closets and pantries. You as the Renter, agree to use your best efforts to ensure that all your family members, visitors and other guests in your party follow the rules and regulations outlined in this document. No Liability – Renter acknowledges and agrees on Renter’s behalf an on the behalf of all of Renters family members, visitors, guests and other third parties occupying or using all or any part of the Property that Owner is in no way responsible for any personal injury or bodily harm that may occur for any reason whatsoever on the Property to any Renter, any family member of Renter, any visitor or guests or other third parties, nor for any damage or loss for any reason whatsoever of Renter’s, any family members of Renter, any visitor’s or guests’ or other third parties’ personal belongings. Renter hereby agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Owner, and its employees and agents (collectively, the “Indemnified Parties”), from and against all claims, causes of action, lawsuits, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) as may be incurred by Indemnified Parties because of renter’s failure to comply and/or cause the compliance of renter’s family members, visitors, guests and other third parties with the terms and conditions of this agreement. Use of Golf Cart – The golf cart is made available for use by the Renter and members of the Renter’s family/group who are of 25 years of age, or older. The golf cart is not licensed for road use and is strictly provided for travel between Governors Estate and French Leave Beach only. Any use of the golf cart in violation of this agreement will result in a $200 penalty for each prohibited use and could result in eviction. By using the golf cart, Renter assumes any and all risk associated with the operation of the golf cart and all liability for damages incurred to any third parties through operation of the golf cart. Capacity of House – The total number of persons allowed in the houses at any one time is restricted to the number of persons scheduled and paid for in the reservation. Presence of additional guests will subject Renter to immediate eviction and forfeiture rent. Parties and events are not permitted without the written permission of Owner. Drugs and Hazardous Materials – The Renter, Renter’s family members, visitors, guests and other members of such Renter’s group are strictly prohibited from using or bringing onto the Property any illegal substances, flammable fluids, explosives or other items deemed hazardous to life, limb or Property, as determined by Owner, any party designated by Owner or Owner’s representatives. Complaints and Maintenance – The Owner will make all reasonable efforts to keep the Property and facilities located within the Property in good working order and inventories in a reasonably sufficient amount. In the event there is a maintenance problem with any of the facilities located within the Property; the Owner will take all reasonable steps to repair the problem as soon as possible after being notified inwriting. No refund or rate adjustment will be made for unforeseen mechanical failures such as the supply of electricity, water, pool heater/filtration systems, air conditioning, telephone, television/cable service, appliances, etc. It is the Renter’s responsibility to report any problems or damage immediately to the local property manager. No Smoking – Smoking is not permitted inhouse. Evidence of smoking will cause immediate eviction, and forfeiture of Renter’s entire Rental Fee and Security Deposit. No Pets – No pets of any kind are allowed in, on or around the Property at anytime without the prior written consent of the Owner being granted before arrival for each pet that you propose to bring in, on or around the Property. Security Deposit – The Renter agrees to pay a security deposit within 14 days of arrival. This deposit will be refunded after Renter's departure and an inspection of the rental by Property Manager, less any deductions for damage to the property or furnishings, excessive mess requiring additional cleaning or other costs incurred outside the normal course due to Renter’s stay.
