The Shire of Sagada

Greetings from Halflings! 

Far from the east, over ranges and rivers lies a humble hobbit inspired dwelling. Nestled on an idyllic hillside of Liyang. Majestically framed by hand built and iconic spherical doors & windows like portholes. Each six rooms, an abundance with paneled walls and logs and adorned with natural limestones and river stones. Floors are wooden & carpeted, provided with polished chairs and tables. Some rooms have looking over the garden and meadows beyond. Tunneled restaurant is located on the ground floor equipped with organic furniture. 

RESERVATION POLICY

In order to secure the reservation, please deposit at least 50% of the grand total into the Shire's bank account by the end of the next business day. The reservation will be automatically cancelled by the system if no payment has been made. 

TERMS & CONDITIONS

As an independent and uniquely set up boutique inn, we have very particular rules that may differ from other establishments that you have visited. Therefore, we appreciate you reading these carefully prior to your arrival. We thank you in advance for your understanding and compliance.

1. Please provide the full names and valid government issued IDs of all those part of your reservation at check-in. 

2. Check in time: 2PM (if arriving early, you may leave your stuffs at the lobby)- Checkout time: 10AM.

3. Smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms are installed; all rooms are non-smoking. There is designated smoking area located at the outside canopy. 

4. We have a common stone wood burning fireplace for all guest to enjoy at the second floor.

5. Sagada has noise curfew, even if we are away from the bustling center, we still follow the same rules, quiet hours after 9PM.

6. Hobbits are barefooted, kindly leave your shoes at the designated area. We provide slippers for inside room.
7. Our parking facilities are unavailable at the moment due to a landslide that occurred several months ago. Access to our location is only possible by foot. You have two parking options nearby: 7J's Home Stay offers free parking, while Carpenter's Homestay charges P150 per car per night. Both of these accommodations are located approximately 250 meters from our location. We apologize for any inconvenience, as there is currently no confirmed timeline for road repairs by the government.
8. The mini trail is paved with cement, but we recommend against its use by seniors or individuals with disabilities, especially those with foot-related impairments.
9. We utilize Starlink for our internet connection, which offers high-speed and dependable service, albeit with the caveat that it relies on satellites and can be affected by weather conditions.
10. Kids 8 years old and below are allowed to stay free-of-charge, (meal is not included). The number of kids may vary depending on the room type. Rooms for two adults cannot accommodate kids, only the quadruple rooms.
11. A P500/ room incidental cash deposit will be collected upon check-in. This deposit will be refunded upon check-out and surrender of keys.
12. Strictly no pets are allowed.

FOOD
Complimentary breakfast is served from 8:00AM to 10:00 AM at Kawan Tunneled Restaurant & Cafe.
Outside food & beverages are not allowed, and corkage fee applies. Snacks such as chips, bread are tolerated.

LANDMARK & PARKING: From Municipal Tourism Office, The Shire is 850 meters by car (about 3 mins drive), or 12-15 mins walk. We suggest using GOOGLE MAPS, the direction is PRECISE. Please do not use waze because it will direct you to the next municipality.

ADDITIONAL INFO:
Sagada is a walk town. Everybody walks, it is an essential part of Sagada experience. There are no tricycles or jitneys within the town because it is a small community with narrow streets. 

Whilst we have deployed nontoxic pest control management, please note that we are located in the forest with a natural environment rich in vegetation and trees. There are occasional visits from insects, spiders, bumble bees, honeybees and harmless animals but are not typically bothersome.
