Fern River Resort hosts 15 cabins among towering redwoods and beside the San Lorenzo River. Each cabin is unique and can host anywhere from 2 to 8 guests. Many of the cabins have full kitchens and overlook the river. Fern River has been described as summer campesque for adults. We host private retreats, weddings, healing and wellness classes and other special events and you have the ability to book the entire property for a special event if desired. Onsite there is badminton, pingpong, horse shoes, an area to host a campfire, a private river beach and special event grounds. We also have a small retreat room available to be a container to host wellness and spirituality events.

If canceling within 24 hours of making a reservation no charge will be due. Any prepaid deposits will be refunded.
Reservation cancellations less than 30 days to arrival will forfeit the prepaid deposit. Reservations more than 30 days are subject to a 10% fee of the prepaid deposit .
Group Reservations
For groups with 3 or more cabins rented any prepaid cabin deposits will be forfeit
Reservations made by online travel agent ( booking.com/ Expedia ect)
Will be charged whatever policy is agreed to by the client at time of booking clearly stated in terms and conditions and agreed upon by the client.
If you are worried about a situation that may cause a late cancellation we recommend looking into travel insurance.

Policies
BookingReservations are charged 50% of the stay at time of booking .
Modifications
As a courtesy if you need to change your dates and Fern River has availability on the dates you are looking for a one-time date change will be accommodated with 2-week notice. Only one modification per reservation .This does not apply to special events. And upon a date change any deposit becomes nonrefundable. Shortening a reservation if your reservation is more than 30 days out, you may be able to shorten a reservation but it may not be less than the minimum stay requirements in effect when you made the reservation. Subletting or placing someone else in your cottage for the remaining days is not allowed.
Check in
The guest checking in for your party must be at least 18 years old. Any balance is due at check in. A valid photo ID and credit card or debit card is required. Credit cards accepted are MC. Visa & American Express. The guest checking in is responsible for any of their guests actions and any damages to the cabins will be billed to the credit card on file. Cash payment is accepted with a valid credit card on file. If there has been a prior authorization there is no security deposit due. Without a prior deposit cash paying customers are required to host a $100 cash security deposit. Check in daily starts at 3pm . If you would like an earlier check in it may be possible for the staff to accommodate you, please call in with your request after 11am the day of your arrival.
Check out
Check out is by 11am. Guests can ask for a late check out and staff will accommodate them if possible. The fee for late check out is $30 .There are no refunds for early checkout.
Extra Guests
Fern River strives to maintain a peaceful atmosphere with limited guests onsite. If you would like to have extra day guests, please make arrangements with the office ahead of time. If you want to host a special event, please contact our event coordinator for event packages. We do not allow gatherings onsite without prior permission, and large groups are disruptive to other guests.Extra overnight guests are $10 per guest and each cabin does have a maximum occupancy.
Smoking
Is not allowed within the cabins or event grounds. You may smoke outdoors and around any of the smokeless ashtrays around the property. Please dispose of your ashes in the outdoor trashcans and not within the cabins.Guests with evidence of smoking indoors will be billed $500 for necessary cleaning.
Pets
We welcome ADA service dogs. All other pets are not allowed onsite. Animals to be witnessed onsite or in rooms will be billed a $100 security deposit and $50 per night automatically.
No refunds for early checkout
Lost, stolen or damaged property including but not limited to towels, pillows, furniture, buildings, parking barriers, TV's etc. will be charged to your card.

Fern River Resort and all it's owners or employees accept no responsibility and/or liability directly, indirectly or consequently and will not be responsible for accidents or injury to guests or for loss of money, jewelry or valuables of any kind, nor does it accept liability for any damage or injury direct, indirect or consequential for the use of any product, service, charter, park or information associated with advertising or information found on/in our premises and or links/advertising found on our web sites.All buildings, structures, trees, games, decks, stairs, bathrooms, furniture, BBQ's, river and beach areas are use at your own risk .Any accident, property damage or bodily injury caused by or resulting from alcohol, drugs or negligence by you or your guests is your responsibility and you accept liability for such.
