Minimum Stays

All weekend stays are subject to a 2-night minimum throughout the year (exceptions are occasionally made during the winter months). Weekends in July & August require a 3-night minimum stay for guest rooms, while the suites have a 4 night minimum stay for all days in July and August.  Holiday and Festival weekends may have longer minimum stay requirements. 

Reservations

Reservations can be made up to one year in advance and require a deposit. The amount of the deposit is usually one night's stay, however, it varies according to the dates chosen and the length of the stay. Stays longer than 7-days require a $500 deposit. There are no refunds for early check-outs.

Cancellations

Cancellations received 14 or more days prior to the scheduled arrival date are subject to a $25.00 cancellation fee; the remainder of the deposit will be refunded. For cancellations made less than 14 days prior to the scheduled arrival date, the room deposit is non-refundable. Holiday and Festival weekends and weekly stays may require a 30-day notice for cancellations. NO refunds for early checkouts

Cleaning Fees

A $5 per day cleaning fee will be added to each reservation, by room. 

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the Bayside Inn. You may smoke outside on your balcony or on the common patio. Those who violate the non-smoking policy will be charged a $255 cleaning fee.

Stairs and Accessibility 

The BaySide Inn is a three story building and does not have an elevator.  Some of our rooms require two full flights of stairs.  If you will require help with luggage please let the innkeeper know at the time of booking.  Suite 10 has a spiral staircase and may not be ideal for those with very limited mobility.  

Children

Children are allowed only in suites 8, 9 & 10 (additional fees may apply).  Please note, we sit on the Kalamazoo River, and there is no fence or barrier between the deck and the water.  Please be aware that children must be under parental supervision at all times.  

We do not provide cribs or pack and play units, but do allow guests to bring their own. 

Check-in and Check-out

Check-in is between 3:00 pm and close (closing hours vary seasonally, check with our front desk to confirm office close time, we can make accommodations for later check-ins). Check out time is at 11:00am sharp. Please note, check-out time also applies to the waterfront desk and lobby area.  Our innkeepers and housekeepers have many tasks to complete between check-out and check-in.  In order to properly prepare for our guests, we ask that once checked out our community spaces be reserved for those who are checking in.  ​Early check-in and late check-out can only be requested the day of arrival or departure.  It is up to the discretion of our staff and based on availability if the request can be honored. Due to extremely high demand and turnover, this is only an add on option in the early and late season and is not available during our peak summer stays.

Pets

Pets are not allowed. If you travel with pets you can board them at a local kennel. If a pet is found on the property, a cleaning fee will be assessed. 

Parking

BaySide Inn does not have reserved parking.  Parking during the day can be difficult in the summer months.  There are two 15-minute parking spots that allow for check-in and unloading if parking is limited.  If you have mobility issues, please inform the innkeeper at the time of booking as arrangements can be made.  Requests after booking are subject to availability and may not be able to be accommodated.  

Responsibility

BaySide will not be held responsible for any lost or stolen items, nor accident or injury to a guest or damage to any vehicle. You will be held financially responsible for any damage done to the room, which may be charged to your credit card.
