Located at 188 Main Street in Pilley’s Island, Bumblebee Bight Inn and Brewery is an establishment that provides a destination for travellers who, once they venture down Hwy 380, are welcomed, and convinced to stay. Our mandate is to source local products and experiences, provide and support local initiatives to help sustain the rural communities surrounding us that cling to the rocks and shorelines of this three island area. We hope our visitors become a part of that community while here. At Bumblebee Bight Inn and Brewery, guests can choose from a number of beers made on site which we have named specifically to connect and to promotie the wonderful areas surrounding Green Bay. Guests can pair their beers with a number of menu items that are based around the authentic Italian wood fired pizza oven, and purchase a selection of daily homemade pastry and bread items. Room choices are either a King or Queen deluxe 4 star room located just upstairs which boasts fireplaces, heated bathroom floors and full body rain showers amongst other deluxe amenities.. We have a private tea room available for small events and we also offer our business as a host for larger private special events and catering. Bumblebee Bight Inn and Brewery is an experience for those who want to explore and feel the power of the water that is woven into rural Newfoundland communities, the history of the culture and the rhythms of Green Bay South. Guests will receive their full charge - full deposit - If cancelled up to 7 days or 168 hours before arrival when booking a single room for 2 or more nights, or for a reservation that has multiple room bookings for a single night. In this case a 25% cancellation fee will be taken from the total deposit.

Any changes to the arrival date, departure date, or room type is subject to the inn’s availability at the time the change is requested and may result in a possible rate change, room change and /or service fees. Should a guest depart early prior to the departure date confirmed on booking for any reason, our Inn may impose, at our discretion, an early departure/ change of reservation fee up to the full price /night of the reservation for the duration originally booked. A full night’s charge will be applied to those who do not check out at the appropriate time. No outside, non paying guests are to be invited upstairs, encouraged to leave items or stay in our rooms. We expect all of our guests to read, understand and sign their acknowledgement of these policies prior to their stay.
Arrival /Departure time
To make a reservation for our deluxe rooms, a credit card guarantee of payment must be received at our Inn. Without a valid credit card payment we cannot guarantee a room will be reserved. Please check in no earlier than 3:30 pm the day of arrival and depart no later than 11am the day of departure. We may be able to accommodate reasonable early arrivals, but it is at our discretion. Guest who are leaving any items for an early arrival, leave all items at their own risk as mangament will not be responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged items. Items may have a storage fee - determined by the descretion of the management.
Should a guest depart early prior to the departure date confirmed on booking for any reason, our Inn may impose, at our discretion, an early departure/ change of reservation fee up to the full price for each night of the reservation for the duration originally booked. A full night’s charge will be applied to those who do not check out at the appropriate time. No outside, non paying guests are to be invited upstairs, encouraged to leave items or stay in our rooms. Please do not invite or allow 3rd party guests upstairs as this will result in immediate eviction and fees up to and equal to a full night accomodation per double occupancy over and above the original booking will be applied to the room patron's credit card. This is applied at the discretion of owners.
Rates
Rates quoted are based on check in date and length of stay requested. Rates are confirmed in Canadian Currency. Rates are based on a single room with double occupancy per night, and does not include additional charges / fees or fines, extra amenities requested, damages, taxes or surcharges. Tour and package rates vary according to the features of the specific package or program offered at our Inn during their time/seasonal restrictions. The applicable charges for the packages are confirmed at arrival. Additions, changes, taxes, service charges, and value added taxes (if applicable) will be added to the hotel bill unless indicated as a package feature. The taxes, service charges and value added taxes on your confirmation are those currently in effect within the province and country and are subject to change without notice according to law. All damages, losses and fines will be added to your bill.

Parking: By parking a vehicle on our property, you (and your guests) are doing so on your own accord. Bumblebee Bight Inn and Brewery does not take any responsibility or accept any liability for damage, accident injury or loss to your vehicle , person or personal property while here.
Minors:
All guests must be 21 years or older to confirm guestroom accommodations here with us. A valid photo ID must be presented when requested at any time for age verification. We are a brewery and taphouse eatery and by law we can welcome and feed our underage guests, but they must leave the taphouse and brewery during our restricted adult only hours after 8:30pm everyday of the week. Anyone underage on our property must be supervised by a responsible guardian or parent at all times: children cannot be left upstairs in the Inn alone at anytime. We do not allow outside alcohol to be brought into our taphouse eatery and brewery for consumption.
Damages and Losses:
During your stay, the room, all amenities and furniture should be treated with care and kept in order. Please note, immediate notification after check-in of any damages to, breakages in or issues with the room is expected. Our crew can then take any necessary action to resolve anyissues and make sure all the equipment and facilities are working and provided as expected and that it is noted before your visit.
A damage deposit must be paid upon check-in, in cash or by credit card, along with a balance, and is fully refundable subject to damage inspection of the accommodation and if we do not have any claims. The costs of damages or cleaning beyond what would be expected after responsible usage of the room will be deducted from the deposit, and the refunded amount will be the remainder of the damage deposit. Guests are financially responsible for the full replacement costs . This also includes damages and losses caused by a third party's negligent actions and behavior - again, please do not encourage any non paying guests upstairs in our Inn. Do not prop open exterior doors - it is for the safety of the entire business that exterior doors remain closed and locked at all times.
A summary check will be made of your room at check-out time. However, a more detailed review of the condition of the room, all furniture and amenities will be made soon after check-out and before another guest occupies the room. You will be responsible for any damages, losses or breakages found that are over and above normal wear, tear and usage. In this case, a detailed statement of damage along with an invoice for the repair or replacement cost will be sent by email immediately. Any costs will be deducted from the deposit immediately. Any further costs will be charged to the credit card on file if they are greater than the deposit or where the deposit has already been returned.
Lost /Stolen or Damaged items:
Our Inn is not to be held liable for any personal items left at, stolen from or damaged while at our Inn. For any items left behind, we will make reasonable efforts to contact the owner, and will hold the item for one month. Owners who wish us to have us post the item to them will pay for all the shipping costs and we will not be held responsible for any further situations that may arise once the items has been posted. If items are not claimed within one month of checkout date, we will donate the item to a local charity. Please take care to account for, lock up and keep your items under your supervision at all times to avoid losses, damage and theft.
Keys
All security items must be left in the room or returned to staff member in the General Store upon checkout/departure. Non return of these items within 12 hours will result in an automatic charge of $250 dollars being applied to your credit card as locks have to be changed for our next guests.
Pets and Smoking
We are a no smoking/ no pets business. Smoking is only allowed in designated areas away from our building where proper disposal cans are expected to be used. You may not smoke on our decks or just outside any doors. "Pets” do not include service animals that have registered /licenced and verifiable identification.
All damages done to our business by vandalism, smoking, pets or patrons knowingly violating these no smoking /no pet policies will be charged an immediate $250.00 non refundable fee. This fine will immediately be charged to their credit card and /or they will be asked to leave immediately and full charges will be applied.
Use of Personal Information -
Our business will need to keep your information for a resonable period after your check out has been complete to ensure there are no outstanding costs/fees/fines that have occured during your stay. At all times we will ensure that your personal information will be kept private and confidental. We will not forward any outside calls or reply to any requests for your personal information while staying with us. If you have third party communications that you expect, please ensure that they are contacted by you directly.
Accessability -
We have made every effort to make our brewery and taphouse eatery fully accessible. Unfortunatley we have no reasonable accessiblity to the upper floor where the Inn is. We apologize in advance for any inconveience.
Covid
At times there are situations beyond our control that will have to be dealt with in a minutes notice. At this time we ask for the upmost patience and understanding from our guests. As we all know by now situations where Covid has raisied it's ugly head and which may force us to abide by governement legislation where our capacities and our services may have to be modified or even cancelled. We apologize in advance, but please know that we will do everything as soon as possible to be running at 100 % . We also ask for patience in organizing your payments and deposit returns. You must realize that the Inn is just one part of our business and we will get to everything in priority order.
We reserve the right to cancel, modify or add to all policies for reservations and all services at anytime and without notice, where it is obvious/logical and/ or there is evidence shown that a guest(s) has engaged in fraudulent or inappropriate activity, knowingly defies rules of our business, or under any other circumstance where it appears that the reservations contain or resulted from purposefull mistakes/errors or omissions. Any and all of these policies may be changed without notice at the discretion of management.
Dispute Resolution
Periodically there is an event in which a dispute may arise. Please know that managment has laid out rules and policies and responsibilities to head off situations that may cause a problem. We hope that we have covered all possible situations, but realize that something may sneek by. In this case, we will expect calm and patience while we deal with disputes. We want to remind all guests that you have agreed to the above policies when you reserved. Please re read all policies to ensure your dispute is not already covered, and then please, do not hesitate to meet with us if you are still unsure.
