Heston’s Lodge is located on the shores of Gunflint Lake on Minnesota’s historical Gunflint Trail. Nestled amid tall pines and old cedars, you will find plenty of peace and quiet. We have five cabins along the shoreline, each with a unique look, but all reflecting the charm of a Northwoods getaway. We have access to several hiking and cross-country ski trails, and have motorboats, canoes and kayaks for activities on the lake.
We are the third generation to operate the resort, since 1943. We look forward to assisting you in experiencing a vacation in the forests on the edge of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.

Cancellations happen, we understand. If you need to cancel your reservation, and it is six weeks prior to your arrival, we will refund your deposit, less a $25 cancellation fee. If it is less than six weeks, we will refund your deposit (less a $25 cancellation fee) if we are able to fill all the days of your original reservation.

General Policies
Rates include the first two people. Additional persons will be charged per night or week accordingly. Rates do not include the taxes.
Children ages 5-16 are half-price, after the first two people. Under 5 years, there is no charge.

State and local taxes are not included in the prices.

A $300 deposit is required within 7 days from when you make your reservation. Deposits are payable via check or credit card. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.
We will refund your deposit if a cancellation is made at least 6 weeks in advance, or if we can re-book your cabin, less a $25 cancellation fee.
Guests leaving before their scheduled departure will be billed for the full reservation.
Most months, we have a three-night minimum. Currently, we are not taking one-night reservations, due to Covid.
Check-in is 3:00 p.m.; Check-out is 10:00 a.m.
