Hørhaven is an organic farm where biodiversity, natural cultivation and animal welfare are in focus. At Hørhavegård we have 3 holiday apartments for as Bed & Breakfast. We can accommodate 12-14 overnight guests. When you visit our farm you can help with the daily tasks when we work with the crops and animals. We strive to use products produced on the farm or locally of the best organic quality. Hørhavegård is located in Hørhaven near Tystrup lake which is one of the most beautiful places in Denmark. All our land is in a protected area with direct access to Tystrup lake. The farmis very idyllic and completely secluded at the end of a small country road in a hilly landscape right next to the \"Baunehøjen\" which has stunning views of the beautiful nature with protected fields, grazing animals and large forests. We have many different animals because we think it is the best way to make use of our land, and it's great to experience how the animals interact and graze the fields differently. Our animals are part of \"Velfærdsdelikatesse\"(Animal welfare delicatessen) concept. That is, we have old Scandinavian breeds that are adapted to our Nordic climate so they can be outside and enjoy freedom all year long. The animals reproduce naturally and all animals are allowed stay with their mothers until they are naturally weaned off. There is no castration, docking or nose rings. The animals are gently killed at home in their habitat to avoid unnecessary stress. This allows for an animal welfare we are both proud of and we can stand for. On the farm we produce lots of vegetables according to the principle of permaculture. We also have many berry bushes, as well as fruit and nut trees. Our products are sold from our farm shop or you can pick and harvest yourself at a favorable price. Our meadows, for grazing the animals, are sown with many different herbs and flowers, which provide healthier animals, a better tasting products, provide honey and pollen to bees and insects while providing the optimal conditions for varied biodiversity. Come and experince the beautiful nature with a stay at Hørhavegård Hørhaven er et økologisk landbrug, hvor biodiversitet, naturlig dyrkning og dyrevelfærd er i fokus. På Hørhavegård er der 3 ferielejligheder som udlejes som Bed & Breakfast. Vi har plads til 12-14 overnattende gæster. Når man besøger os kan man få lov til at være med til at hjælpe med de daglige opgaver når vi passer afgrøder og dyr.Vi bestræber os for at vores produkter produceres på gården eller lokalt og alt er selvfølgelig af bedste økologisk kvalitet. Hørhavegård er beliggende i Hørhaven ved Tystrup sø, et af de smukkeste steder i Danmark. Alt vores jord ligger i et fredet område med jord ned til Tystrup sø.Gården ligger meget idyllisk og helt ugenert for enden af en lille markvej i et kuperet landskab lige ved siden af \"Baunehøjen\" som har en fantastisk udsigt over den smukke natur med fredede marker, græssende dyr og store skove. På gården har vi mange forskellige dyr for vi mener at det giver den bedste udnyttelse af vores jord og det er fantastisk at opleve hvordan dyrene interagere og afgræsser markerne forskelligt. Vores dyr er med i Velfærdsdelikatesse konceptet. Det vil sige at vi har gamle Skandanaviske racer der er tilpasset det nordlige klima, så de kan gå ude og nyde friheden hele året. Dyrene formere sig naturligt og alle unger får lov til at gå med deres mødre til de afvendes naturligt. Der er ingen kasteration eller af klipning af haler eller ring i næsen. Dyrene aflives skånsomt hjemme i deres vante omgivelser så de ikke stresses unødvendigt. Det giver en dyrevelfærd som vi både er stolte af og som vi kan stå inde for. I landbruget producere vi masser af grøntsager efter permakulturprincipper. Vi har også mange bærbuske, samt frugt- og nøddetræer. Alt dette sælges i vores gårdbutik eller man kan selv plukke og høste til en billigere pris. Vores enge, til græsning af dyrene, er tilsået med mange forskellige urter og blomster hvilket giver sundere dyr, bedre smag til vores produkter, sørger for honning og pollen til bier og insekter og giver de optimale vilkår til en varieret biodiversitet.
