North Branch Outing Club (NBOC) was established by lumber baron T.E. Douglas after he realized his lumber business was on the decline. Douglas started promoting fly fishing on the North Branch of the Au Sable to prominent anglers of the time. Men and women anglers came from around the world to fly fish the North Branch of the AuSable. NBOC had members and guests such as Henry & Edsel Ford, Harvey Firestone, The Dodge Brothers, Thomas Edison, as well as Royalty from Europe. The North Branch Outing Club was the true "Elite American" fly fishing destination.

Check in is between 3-8 pm and check out at 10am. If you need a later check in pleas contact us so that arrangements can be made. A late check in cannot be guaranteed. Do
No children under the age of seven.
Guests must be able to climb stairs as the lodge does not have an elevator.
Guests must cancel within 48 hours of reservation date or deposits will be forfeited.
Due to uncertainties in gas prices and other expenditures, guide rates in 2022 are especially susceptible to change.
Peak Season Full Day — $500 (two anglers), $475 (one angler), includes lunch or dinner
Full Day Guide — $475 (two anglers), $450 (one angler), includes lunch or dinner
Half Day Guide — $375 (one or two anglers)
Mouse Fishing Half Day — $425 (July, August, September)
Wading/Instruction (4 hours), one or two anglers — $300 ($50 per additional angler)
Full Day Bird Hunting for 1 or 2 Hunters-$495
A $100 Fee is charged for trips canceling less than five days from the scheduled float. Trips canceled within 24 hours are charged the full rate of the float. Guide rates are subject to change.
