Washroom and Septic System Policy
Please use “Septic Safe” toilet paper. This can be purchased in town (Belleville or Picton) if you don’t have any where you live. We will provide 3 rolls per 1 week stay, after that you may need to purchase your own. No flushing tampons, pads, diapers, tissues, hair, etc. as this will clog the toilet and interrupt the septic system.
Cleanliness, Recycling & Waste Disposal
Please leave the cottage as clean and tidy as you find it. There is a broom, dustpan, and squeeze mop in each cottage. Please wash any dishes you use. Wipe off all surfaces and appliances that may have crumbs or spills (including the microwave and stove top / oven). Please empty out the fridge before you leave. Any excessive mess will result in an extra cleaning charge of $100.00.
Bayside Cottages is a non-smoking property. There is no smoking (of tobacco, cannabis, etc) inside any of the cottages. This applies to both traditional smoking methods and all electronic delivery systems, including vapes, vaporizers, vape pens, hookah pens, electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes or e-cigs), e-pipes, and any variations of the foregoing regardless of the product’s name. Any smoking in the cottages or strong lingering smoking scents in cottages will result in a $100 extra cleaning fee. If you do smoke tobacco, please stay outside, away from other guests and clean up cigarette butts (we suggest an old can, bottle or jar for this purpose). No cannabis smoking is allowed on the property as the stronger, pungent smell carries further and will disturb the neighbours and families nearby.
Do not leave garbage outside as this will attract critters and bugs. Take garbage and recycling with you. If you would like us to dispose of your waste, it will be an additional charge of $25.00 per bag.
