We are a
very small team that are there for your 24x7 should it be needed. We would love
to advice you on where to go, so that you can do what you would like to do.
That can be anything from where to dine fancy, at which beach you will most
likely see turtles, where you can learn to dive, at which beach you will most
likely be alone, etc. We are there for you, if you would like that but we also
respect your privacy and let you be if that is what you prefer.
Most of the times, we check in guest and end up saying goodbye to friends because all we wish
is for you to enjoy a memorable, pleasant and fun stay at Villa Amalie - or as we say it: Our home, your home!

Your stay at Villa Amalie
Reservations that are cancelled:
- Due to COVID-19: Full compensation (Fees to third parties will be deducted) as described in the "COVID-19 Cancellation Coverage"
- 90 days prior to arrival will be refunded with 90%.
- Until 30 days prior to arrival, will be refunded 50%.
- Less than 30 days prior to arrival until 24 hours prior to arrival. There are no cash refunds for cancellation of rooms, if cancellation is made with less than 30 days to arrival date, but you can require to be compensated with a voucher for a future stay with the value 50% of the total reservation costs (Taxes, extras, etc. excluded).
- In the event of "no-show" there is no refunds or compensation in the event that you do not show up as reserved.
COVID-19 Cancellation Coverage ©:
If any of the persons, for whom the reservation for stay at Villa Amalie is concerning, is unable to arrive at Villa Amalie, due to COVID-19 travel or movement restrictions, the Villa Amalie COVID-19 Cancellation Coverage is activated. - E.g. if any of the covered persons is tested positive for COVID-19 in a manner that makes traveling to Curaçao as planned impossible. The coverage, issues the perosn in whos name the reservation is made a voucher for the monetary amount paid for your planned stay at Villa Amalie and it is valid for12 months from the original planned date of arrival. At the expiration of the 12 month period, a cash reimbursement of 95% of the total paid amount (Taxes, extras, etc. excluded) if offered upon request, or the period can be extended in segments of 3 months until a maximum of a total of 18 months from the original planned date of arrival. If no request has been made, prior to one month after the expiration of the voucher - or any extension of such - there is no refund/compensation and the voucher represents thus no value.
Terms of coverage: You are obligated to follow all instructions from airline, governmental institutions and alike and make your self aware of the rules for traveling at the moment of booking and remain updated until the day of arrival. It is your obligation to stay informed and follow the instruction. In the event, that you do not follow the instructions - e.g. fail to get properly tested prior to departure - there is no coverage, unless you can document that you are not to be burdened for such failure. E.g. if the test is not ready as promised or if the rules for traveling changes 3 hours before your departure and you have no chance of adhering to such rules - In such cases, you are in no way to be burdened for your failure to arrive and you will receive coverage as described above.
Documentation: You are obligated to produce and present any documentation needed in order for Villa Amalie to evaluate your claim for COVID-19 Cancellation Coverage. By presenting us with a claim, you also gives us power of attorney to contact any and all individuals, organizations,medical facilities, etc. in order to evaluate and confirm the validity of your claim. We will guide you through all of this, should it become necessary.

Extras and transports provided by Villa Amalie:
Airport transfers follows the rules of the reservation. Other transports, can be cancelled with 2 hours notice. Transports ordered with less than a 2 hours notice are non refundable.

Unless specifically itemized on your final invoice all pricesare excl. taxes, cleaning fee, and any additional services such as airporttransfer, breakfast, etc.
Terms of payment:
In order to secure your reservation, you are to present uswith valid credit card information. If you are not able to do so, we reservethe right to cancel your reservation in full, 24 hours after having informedyou of such action by using the email you provided us with while making thereservation.
If you do not hold a credit card, the reservation can bepaid by a bank transfer or in cash no later than 24 hours later of havingagreed to do so. It is noted that in the event of arrival without a validcredit card, a cash deposit of USD 25 (min. USD 75 and max. USD 250) isrequired to in order to complete the check in. Other currencies than USD arealso accepted and will be returned as received at the moment of departure.Failure to present adequate security at the moment of check in, may result inloss of reservation as if it became a “no-show”.
Check in is from 14:00 (2 PM), but can also be earlierdepending on availability. A fee for early check in may become applicable.Please contact us for more information. In order to ensure a smoothcheck in, please inform us of your arrival time.
If you find your own way to Villa Amalie, then enter thegate from the street, walk to the front door and press the doorbell. Press thatone, and we will be there to welcome you in 3 minutes.
Check-out time is latest 11:00.
Check out later than 11:00 is a possibility if we donot have an arrival for your room: A feefor late check will become applicable so please contact us, if you would like to request a latecheck out.
When you are ready to leave please ensure the following :
- Ensure that the AC, ceiling fan and lights are turned off
- Look under the bed and in the bathroom for yourbelongings (You do not want to know what we sometimes find under the bed when cleaning)
- Take all your stuff with you and lock the door to your room
- If we are not there to see you off, please lock all doors and gates behind you and drop the keys in mailbox by the gate at the street.
It is free to park on the street in front of Villa Amalie.You are also welcome to park at Villa Curiel which is located a 2-minute walk from VillaAmalie and monitored by security cameras 24 hours and is also free. Pleasecontact us for directions.
Important advise! When parking anywhere on Curaçao - Do not leaveanything in the car visible from the outside and if possible open compartmentsand remove cover from trunk so that people can see that it is empty.
After you have stayed with us 3 nights, we will change the bed sheets and the towels that are in the room, and also do a light cleaning.Please remember that we can only change the towels that are in the room or thebathroom. If you should desire more housekeeping, we are happy tooffer that as well against an additional payment.
KEYS & TOWELS: You will be provided 1 or 2 sets of keys.In each set, there is a key/FOB for the shared areas and one for your room.Your room is equipped with 2 bath/beach towels per person. The white one is foruse at home, and the colored one is for the beach.Damage or loss of keys or towels will be charged.
KITCHEN, KITCHENETTES AND SHARED AREAS: We ask you to showflexibility, patience, and acceptance when using areas that are shared withyour fellow vacationers. You are expected to clean up after yourself and leavethe space as you would like to receive it. This is especially important in thekitchen and also the in-room kitchenette if your room is equipped with a such.
SMOKING: No smoking in the rooms, smoking is allowed outsidein the patio and on the sundeck.
CONSIDERATION: For the courtesy of others, loud music, loudnoises, etc, is not allowed between 22:00 and 07:00
