Property and Cancelation Policies :
Reservations canceled before 30 days prior to the date of the stay are eligible for a full refund of the deposit, less a $25 cancelation fee. Reservations can be rebooked to future dates without a fee, so long as it is before 30 days out.
Reservations canceled 30 days or less before the date of the stay will forfeit their deposit, unless the accommodation can be rebooked.

Check In and Check Out
Check in is at 4 pm. Please come to the front desk, located in the main lodge/restaurant, to check in. We will get you set up with final payment, keys, property map, and paperwork. Please let us know ahead of time if you plan to check in after 8 pm, so we can inform you of our late check-in procedure.
Check out is 10 am. Please return keys to the front desk upon departure.
Activity Booking

Restaurant, Store, and Front Desk Hours
The Outpost serves lunch and dinner daily from 12 pm - 8pm. Try out our delicious pizzas, sandwiches, and lighter fare and enjoy a local brew. Looking to stay in your cabin? We offer online ordering for take out meals.
Our store provides grocery and convenience store necessities and is open from 8 am - 8 pm.
The Front Desk is staffed from 8 am - 8 pm.
Thank you for staying at Steamboat Lake Outpost (SLO). During the duration of your stay, we ask that you abide by the following rules to ensure that everyone has a pleasant stay.
Check In and Check Out - Check in is at 4 pm. Check out is 10 am. Please return keys to the front desk upon departure.
Accessing National Forest UTV and Snowmobile Trails - If you brought your UTV or snowmobile, please ask the Front Desk for instructions on where to trailer, park, and access the national forest and state park areas. Violation of local rules and regulations can result in ticketing. Larkspur Drive is a private drive that borders our property, and there is no trail access permitted on this road, unless on a guided tour with Steamboat Lake Outpost guides. Guests who violate this rule will not be invited back. For the safety of all guests, the speed limit for UTVs/Snowmobiles is 5 MPH.
Housekeeping - Your motel room or cabin will be made up with freshly cleaned linen and towels upon check in. Please note however, that we do not offer daily housekeeping service. If you need any additional towels, linens, etc., during your stay, please call or come down to the front desk.
Additional Fees - In the event an accommodation is left excessively dirty, including but not limited to stained linens or towels or excessive dirty dishes, we reserve the right to charge a cleaning fee of $25 - $100.
Smoking Policy - Smoking is prohibited in all Steamboat Lake Outpost facilities, including, but not limited to, cigarettes, marijuana, and vapes of all kinds. A $100 fee will be added to the reservation if there is evidence of smoking in the room or cabin. Ash cans are provided outside of the accommodations.
Pet Policy - We love bringing our animals on our outdoor adventures with us, so pets are welcome at The Outpost! We do have a $50 fee, per pet, per reservation. Please note that pet odors, stains, and excessive hair will result in a cleaning fee.
Noise - Please be respectful of your neighbors, and respect our quiet hours of 10 pm - 7 am. The Outpost reserves the right to ask guests who are disruptive or disorderly to leave the property, without refund.
Early Departure - There are no refunds for early departures.
Emergencies - Please call 9-1-1 for all emergencies, medical or otherwise.
After - Hours Contact - In the event you have locked yourself out of your room, or are experiencing an urgent cabin maintenance issue, please call our number (970-879-4404) and press 8 to leave a message for our on-duty manager. They will respond promptly. Please save all non-urgent issues for the morning.
Routine Maintenance - Occasionally we need to access an accommodation during a stay in order to attend to a maintenance issue. We will attempt to notify you in advance via phone and/or email.
Horses - Please do not pet or feed the horses, or enter the corral or pasture, without the express permission and supervision of a Steamboat Lake Outpost wrangler.
Liability & Risk Release - I understand the risks of staying on the Steamboat Lake Outpost Property, including, without limitation:
I acknowledge that I have read and understood, and agree to abide by the preceding rules and policies for staying at Steamboat Lake Outpost. I UNDERSTAND THAT I AM FULLY RELEASING SLO FOR ALL CLAIMS INCLUDING THOSE RESULTING FROM SLO’S OWN NEGLIGENCE (but not its gross negligence or willful or wanton misconduct), and that this Release and Indemnity Agreement includes claim/s for personal injury, wrongful death, disease, illness (including but not limited to any claim/s in any way arising from or related to COVID-19), property damage, loss of consortium, breach of contract, or any other claim.
