About Dolphin Retreat Bunbury Everything is so close for
your convenience. It is only 5 minutes walk to the beach, cafe strip, bus
station, visitor information centre, shopping centre, night life and main
street. Dolphin Retreat has the best value beds and facilities!
Bunbury is
the Gateway to the South West and offers something for everyone. Whether it be
getting back to nature and visiting our friendly dolphins, feeding the local
kangaroos or taking a walk through the Tuart Forrest or 10,000 year old
mangroves. Head to one of our golden sandy beaches where you can try body
boarding in the surf at Back Beach or have a more relaxed swim in the calm
waters of Koombana Bay.
For the more adventurous traveller you can Sea
Kayak with the dolphins, explore W.A's newest dive wreck; The Lena or head for
the sky by taking the controls and flying a small plane. In the evening visit
one of the many restaurants, cafes, bars or one of our three nightclubs to end
what would have been a perfect day.

General Requirements
• Provide passport photo ID for all guests.
Other forms of ID are not acceptable.
• Credit card that matches the name on the
booking.
• Pay for the balance of your reservation at
check-in.
• If your booking is a non-refundable booking,
it cannot be modified or cancelled.
• Once your booking in confirmed and the date
is not within the penalty free period
for cancellation, you must pay for, prior to or at check-in, the total number
of guests that you have booked for, even if some participants of the booking do
not arrive or have cancelled. It is your responsibility to seek reimbursement
from the absent booking participant if you wish to do so.
• Reception desk staff will open reception for
check-ins upon request. Please phone the
number on the front door or at Reception and staff will return your call if
they are attending to other guests requirements and will endeavor to check you
in as soon as possible
• Security Deposit Private and Dormitory Rooms
- $100 refundable security deposit per person

Children cannot be accommodated in the dormitory rooms. Children aged 17 years
will be required to provide a letter from a parent/legal guardian to stay in
dormitory rooms. Children aged 16 years and under will require a parent or
legal guardian over the age of 18 years to stay with them in a private room.
• Groups - for bookings of more than 10 people,
different policies and additional requirements may apply.
• Late check out or early check-in is subject
to availability. Please request early check-in or expected late check-out at
least 3 days prior to arrival at the property, using the contact details found
on the booking confirmation email.
• By accessing the internet through our Service
you will be deemed to have read, understood, accepted and agreed to being bound
by our Wi-Fi terms and conditions of use.
We
have a NO PARTY POLICY Guests acting in a noisy or disorderly
manner will be removed from the property immediately without refund and may
incur additional changes.
Please
do NOT bring your friends, who are not guests, into the hostel. Meet them
somewhere else. Loud parties & amplified music is not allowed or
appreciated by guests & neighbours!
Zero
Tolerance Policy applies to
excessive alcohol consumption, property damage, threatening or abusive
behaviour, excessive noise and any illegal activity. Anyone in breach of this
policy will be asked to leave and will forfeit any right to a refund.
Quiet
time is 10PM to 7AM everyday
Check-In
Time - Important Information
• Check-in time is from 4PM to 10 PM. We are
unable to accommodate late check-ins after 10PM. We can give you access to the
hostel if you arrive before 4PM. Let us know via email what time will you check
in please so we can have staff available? If you do not give us an arrival
time, you may have an extended wait when you arrive at the hostel until staff
can check you in.
Night
Time Entry
Guests
will be provided with access to the front door and gates to the car park. Free
parking is available at the front of the building as well as the gated car
park. Street parking is free at various times of the day.
Check-Out
Important Information
•Make sure you have provided a
minimum of 5 days notice prior to leaving; (If you do not give sufficient
notice, a portion of your deposit will be deducted. The amount deducted will be
calculated based on your weekly rate and the number of days' notice not given);
•Check out by 10am on the date you
have advised;
• Leave your key and full dish pack on
your bed and
• Provide your Australian bank account
details (BSB, Account Number & Account Name).

Please email your Australian bank account details (BSB, Account Number &
Account Name) now so we have the details ready to process your refund. Please
note that we are unable to refund security deposits to international bank
accounts.
Security
deposit - If we have your bank details and have received the key/dishes back,
the refund of the security deposit will be processed direct into your bank
account within 48 hours of you leaving the premises. After processing, it may
take between 1 to 5 business days for the transfer to occur from one bank to
another.
Want
to stay longer or extend your booking?
Please
be reminded to tell us as soon as possible if you want to extend your booking.
Please do not assume a bed will be available for you in the same room or even
available at all because the hostel is taking bookings from other guests.
Property
Cancellation Policy :
If
you have made a booking that is refundable and wish to cancel or change your
booking, you must notify us at least 48 hours prior to the day of your booking.
If you fail to provide 48 hours’ notice prior to cancellation, you will be
charged for the first night of accommodation you had originally booked. 100 percent
of the first night of your booking cost may be charged to your credit card at
least 48 hours prior to arrival. Failure of payment approval will release your
room to be booked by others until payment is made. By confirming your
reservation at Dolphin Retreat Bunbury Backpackers with credit card details,
you agree to the above terms of the booking. Once accommodation has been paid
for in full on arrival at the hostel it is non-refundable. The acceptance of
changes to bookings is solely at the discretion of management.
Non-refundable

communal kitchen is available to prepare your own meals. There are no Pots or
Pans and minimum cooking utensils in the hostel kitchen for guest use. Please
buy your own or ask if you want to borrow some from the hostel. This is one way
we try to keep our kitchen clean for all guests!

laundry is open 24/7 and coin operated. Washing machines, clothes dryers and an
iron is available.

9PM to 10PM - Please inform us by email at least 3 days prior to your arrival and we will organise a late check-in for you. 1. Please ensure you have removed all your belongings from the room before you phone and please phone by 10AM.
2. Please phone 0459 933 128 & staff will assist you within 30 minutes with your check-out.
**Self Check-Out - Up to 11AM if Security Deposit Paid by Pre-authorisation
1. Private Room - leave linen, towels & dishes in the room & please lock your room door.
2. Dormitory Room - leave linen & dishes on your bed & please lock your room door.
3. Place your key into the Key Collect Box at Reception.
4. Staff will collect the key later that day and reverse the Security Deposit
Please Remember: The pre-authorisation is simply a hold of the amount in your account. We do not charge nor take out this amount, it simply is ‘frozen’. When you return your key, the pre-authorisation will be released from ‘frozen’, less any additional charges. Please keep in mind that you won’t see a credit of the pre-authorisation, your balance will simply increase. We release the security deposit, less any deductions owing the same day of check-out. It can take up to 10 business days for the pre-authorisation to be released by your bank. If after the 10-business day period is finished and you are still experiencing issues, please contact us.***If you miss the Staff Assisted Check-out at 10AM please phone us so we can try to assist you.
Additional charges may be applied to you. We can still organise to return your security deposit to you so please phone and discuss this with staff.

General Bookings
Please note a AUD $20 per person deposit for Dormitory Bed bookings and AUD $50 per room deposit for Private Room Bookings will be charged at Check-in. Inability to pay the deposit at check-in will be incur the same penalty as a No Show i.e. payment of the first nights’ accommodation is retained by Wander Inn. You must provide valid photo ID (drivers license or passport) and credit card details upon check-in. Please note children cannot be accommodated in the dormitory rooms. Children aged 17 years will be required to provide a letter from a parent/legal guardian to stay in dormitory rooms. We expect our guests to respect the premises and follow a few basic rules & conditions:
1. No Smoking in the building or under any roofline at any time. Smoking is permitted in designated area only
2. Keep the building neat and tidy, especially on departure.
3. Beds and furniture to remain as is and not to be changed unless management is consulted prior to doing so.
4. Guests are responsible for the cost of any breakage or damage to property of Wander Inn Bunbury Backpackers and will be invoiced accordingly.
5. No Running, boisterous behaviour or excessive noise in the building at any time.
6. Food & Drinks to be consumed in kitchen/dinning/outdoor areas only.
7. Consideration to be given to other guests at all times.
8. Checkout by 10am unless alternatively organised with management.
9. No noise after 10pm. Take the party somewhere else! Be quiet if returning to the hostel after 11pm.
10. Alcohol is NOT permitted to be consumed at the hostel between the hours of 10pm - 11am.
11. Food & drink is not permitted in the bedrooms.
12. Any mess that is created by your group will be tidied by your group.
13. Any damages to be reported immediately.
14. Any unruly behaviour may result in the expulsion of one or more members regardless of payments received.
15. Any instructions given by the managers with regard to the hostel will be complied with.
16. Managers are only to be contacted for emergencies, out of hours.
17. By accepting accommodation at Wander Inn Bunbury Backpackers, your group accepts the terms and conditions.
18. Comply with Wander Inn Bunbury Backpackers standard Conditions of Entry policy.
Failure to comply with these rules may result in your group being ejected from the premises with no money refunded.The entire building is a NON SMOKING ZONE. Designated smoking areas are provided.CANCELLATION POLICY
By paying the required amount you are confirming your bookings and no refunds will be given.
Security Deposit Retention
We require a $50 deposit per person, payable on arrival, to be used as "security deposit" for your booking. The credit card or money may be used for the following:
1. Damage to the hostel and its environs or other guest's property by any member/s of your group.
2. Any staff time consumed by inappropriate, unsocial or unreasonable behaviour from any member/s of your group. This includes but is not limited to viewing of CCTV recordings, room cleaning, cleaning required due to smoking, littering, or other soiling in the room, late check-outs & obtaining quotes & organising contractors to complete remedial work. Staff time will be charged at the rate of $40 per hour, timed to the nearest 15 minutes & a minimum time charged of 15 minutes for each occasion.
3. Cancelled bookings from members of your group.
4. Cancelled bookings due to behaviour from your group.
5. Attendance to business premises by the business manager due to unsociable/unacceptable behaviour caused by any of the group will incur a $100 charge per occasion.
6. Each phone call by staff or business owner to the group representative due to unsociable/unacceptable behaviour caused by any of the group will be $25 per occasion.
7. Smoking in room will incur a charge of $100 for each room
8. $15 per room key or towel
9. $2 per missing item from dish pack
10. Check-out time is 10am unless otherwise organised. Late check-outs will be charged at the rate of $40 per hour, timed to the nearest 15 minutes & a minimum time charged of 15 minutes for each occasion.

Group Representative
If you are checking in as a group, we recommend that you nominate a group representative, and they be contactable by mobile phone at all times. Wander Inn Bunbury Backpackers staff will firstly contact the Group Representative about any concerns we may have about activities of any member/s of your group. This is preferable as you may be able to resolve these issues immediately.No Refunds for Ejected Guests
Any group member/s that are requested to leave Wander Inn Bunbury Backpackers because of inappropriate, unsocial or unreasonable behaviour will not receive a refund for any accommodation they have already paid for.Check-in
Reception Opens at 4pm and will close 6pm for checking in. You may request an early or late check-in and we will provide this depending on availability.
If you are arriving in Bunbury before the office opens, we welcome you to come to the Wander Inn Bunbury Backpackers and enjoy the free tea & coffee in the kitchen or relax in the lounge or in the outdoor area. We are only 1 minutes walk from the city centre and the beach if you wish to take a stroll.
