Mumma’s Hostel is a fun, chilled out, very clean and budget friendly hostel in Cairns City. We are located on the same street as some of the biggest clubs in Cairns, but far enough away that you get a good night's sleep. Only a quick walk to all the local shops, bars and restaurants; and only 2 blocks from the Esplanade, Cairns Marina and the Lagoon.
Mumma’s Hostel was fully renovated in 2018 and has brand new comfy mattresses (2019) topped with crisp clean linen. The common areas are huge, so there is plenty of space for everyone to relax. We have FREE WiFi, 3 lounge areas, big screen tv with Netflix, Free 8 ball table, ping pong table, Large kitchen with 2 ovens, cooktops and fridges, Laundry facilities that take card and a great outdoor pool with day beds and a waterfall to cool off after a day full of adventure.

It is easy to get to Mumma’s Hostel, we are only 10 minutes from the airport via taxi or uber and only a short walk to the bus and train stations.

Payment Policy: You must be at least 18 years of age to make a booking of any accommodation displayed on our site. The amount debited will be the amount shown on the booking page. Depending upon the currency of the booking, your credit card's currency and the country in which your card was issued, your credit card provider may impose foreign exchange fees and other fees which are in accordance with your arrangements with that credit card provider.
Cancellation Policy: To change any details of your booking, you must contact us by phone or email us. We will do our best to assist you, but cannot guarantee that changes can be made. If you cancel your booking on a non-refundable rate you will be charged the full amount and lose your bed space, we may re sell the bed, This also applies for no shows you will be charged in full. Flexible rates are able to cancel for free up until 24 hours prior to their check in at Mumma’s Hostel. Any cancellation after that period will be charged the full amount. As always, we highly value your patronage and will endeavor to make your stay at the Mumma’s Hostel Cairns an excellent experience. We reserve the right to cancel a booking for any reason.

Terms and Conditions
All guests agree that by occupying accommodation at Mumma’s Hostel, you shall be personally responsible for all charges incurred for stay. This will include any damages to dormitory or our general areas. It is a condition of a guest's occupancy that the owners of the premises/business will not be liable for damage to or loss of property brought onto the premises by the occupier or their guests. Smoking is NOT permitted in any Rooms. Guests breaking any of the rules in the T’s & C’s or guest agreement will be evicted immediately with no refund.
For insurance purposes we have a Passport Only Check in Policy. NO Passport, No Entry, No Exceptions.
Dorm rooms are Strictly for 18 -40 years of age. Under 18 years will not be allowed to stay on the property and over 40 years of age must have a private room for check-in.
Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your booking on a non-refundable rate you will be charged the full amount and lose your bed space, we reserve the right to re sell the bed. All No Show’s will be charged in full and we reserve the right to resell the bed after the first night of the booking.
Flexible rates – cancellation - free up to 24 hours prior to their check in time of 2PM at Mumma’s Hostel. Cancellations within the 24hour cancellation policy will incur a cost of 1 night’s accommodation fee, All No shows will be charged in full.

We reserve the right to cancel a booking if and when a guest shows up intoxicated, high on illicit substances, Not able to produce a Valid International Passport, Guest acts abusive to staff, Guest making other guests feel uncomfortable and is not respectful of others staying at Mumma’s Hostel.
